OUTDOOR RANGE

The OUTDOOR range location is approximately 25 miles south of downtown Charlotte near the town of Waxhaw, NC. The address is 9130 Kensington Drive, Waxhaw NC.

From the North:
From downtown Charlotte (Intersection of I-85 and I-77). Take I-77 South (8 miles) and exit to I-485 East towards Pineville (go 6 miles). Exit south on Johnston Rd/Hwy 521, then take Hwy 521 South for 12 miles (into SC and past Indian Land School) to Jim Wilson Rd. Turn Left on to Jim Wilson Rd (go 2.7 miles to the NC/SC border). The range entrance is located on the left at the state line.

From the South:
Take I-77 North and exit east on Hwy 9 or 200 towards Lancaster, SC. Take Hwy 521 north (15 miles) to Jim Wilson Rd., turn Right on to Jim Wilson Rd (go 2.7 miles to the NC/SC border). The range entrance is located on the left at the state line.

From the East:
Take Hwy 74 to Monroe. Turn left on to Hwy 200, then Hwy 75 and go 13 miles to Waxhaw. One block past downtown Waxhaw, turn right on to Waxhaw/Marvin Rd. (go 3 miles) and turn left on to Kensington Dr. (go 1 mile) to the state line. The range entrance is located on the right at the state line.

INDOOR RANGE

The INDOOR range location is approximately 3 miles east of downtown Charlotte near the junction of I-485 and highway 74.

From Charlotte
Drive east on Independence Blvd (which is highway 74) until you cross the intersection of I-485 and highway 74. Get into the left lane and take the second median crossing on the left. This is just past the Northern Hydraulics building on the left and Hinson's Drive In on the right. You will be entering the McGee parking lot (you can see the McGee sign in one of the pictures above). Take a right at the first road just as you enter the parking lot. The range building is on the right within 1/4 mile. It has a dull red roof and matching door. On the door are the words "CRPC, Inc." and number "12833".

From Monroe
Drive West on highway 74 towards Charlotte until you pass the Smile gas station on the left. Continue on highway 74 and turn right into the McGee parking lot. Take a right at the first road just as you enter the parking lot. The range building is on the right within 1/4 mile. It has a dull red roof and matching door. On the door are the words "CRPC, Inc." and number "12833".

NEAR BY HOTELS FOR OUTDOOR RANGE

Most accommodations offer AAA discounts. However, beginning in May, they offer no discounts during NASCAR weekends. Since Waxhaw, NC has absolutely no places to stay, we have divided possible lodging to three areas. Included is mileage and time to the club from each location. Ballantyne: 12 Miles / 19 Minutes One of the nicest areas in Charlotte-Mecklenburg. The hotels are literally within walking distance to some great restaurants, malls and movie theaters. Those listed here all offer breakfast. Be advised, the Ballantyne Resort and Spa's cheapest rooms are $300 per night. Waxhaw is the nearest town and there are a few restaurants there. However, if you are competing in a match, it is probably a good idea to bring your own lunch to conserve time.

INDOOR RANGE

Nearby Restaurants
Since the indoor range is near Matthews, NC there are a few options for lunch/dinner nearby. Hinson's Drive-In, which is almost directly across Hwy 74 from the range, serves a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, pork tenderloin, etc. For post-shooting dining, they also serve a variety of domestic beers. Wendy's and BoJangle's are both about a mile west of the range on Hwy 74. Spiga Pizza, serving buffet pizza, italian dishes, and salad, is about a mile west of the range on the opposite side of Hwy 74.
